Trekking to Poon Hill volume #3

Day 3 - Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210) then Ghorepani to Tadapani (2680m)
Got up 5am the next morning, hike 45 mins up Poon Hill 3210m. Very tiring climb so early in the morning, it was cold and dark!

A dog who tugging in so tightly on top of the icy cold hill

It was awesome to see the skies slowly broke open

If not cold, think I could spend hours looking at these handsome mountains
Big crowd were up on Poon Hill to see the same sun rise
View from the towel watching some descending the hill
As this is our first time on the hill, not surprise that we were crazy taking heaps of pictures for each other, cos the scenery was too pretty not to take! It was icy cold, my fingers were numb and couldn't even tie my shoe lace which our Siva helps me :)

Didn't realize our jump shot did not make it, would have asked to redo if I check the shot properly...
Siva tying my shoe lace!

It was a great pleasure to have met both Sit and Orn from Thai
Sit and Orn's porter Raju :)

Here's a series of pictures I snap while we descend, loving the blue skies heaps!

If not mistaken, the blued roofs is where upper Ghorepani is

Gate to Poon Hill - you need to pay Nepali Rupee 200 entrance fee
We successfully descend back to our lodge for breakfast before heading to our next destination - Tadapani 2680m!
Home made apple pie - it was only so so, perhaps cos we were already too full  after lunch
Good bye Ghorepani!

A full view of Poon Hill!
Kapil sorting out our bus ticket to Chitwan - advance booking is a must during peak season

There are many trek option to go to Poon hill, this is one of them which we are now descending using this trail, how we were glad that we did not follow this trail up - it looks way tougher!

very pretty forest along the way

We departed from Ghorepani at about 9:45 am and manage to reached Tadapani at about 2:30pm, total hike for the days were about 6 hours including hike up and down Poon Hill :)

My bowl of spaghetti that looks like mee goreng - after a good hot shower!

After lunch and warming our body at the hotel's restaurant which has a nice fireplace, both Julie and I decided to head back to our room for some lazying in bed, also because I wanted to take a quick nap as I haven't been able to sleep well the night before.
In between resting, I got up seeing this beautiful sunset view, we were very glad that Kapil booked us room 1 which has a real superview - mountains are right outside our room's window, no need to get down our bed, it was a WOW!
Fish tail - looking very cold and cool

In the night during dinner, we were told that hostel next door is organizing a fundraising session, where they are collecting fund from visitor for a generator. So we join the party and tonight we discover both Kapil and Siva likes to drink and dance.

Siva the great dancer

We then ended the night with a bottle of Everest beer with both Kapil and Siva.
