Sleeping in Haneda airport

My flight touch down Japan at about 10:30pm, by the time after custom checks, it was already close to mid night. I'm glad that I already expect to sleep in airport. Sleeping in Haneda airport was pleasant, not awkward at all, safe and comfortable, the only irritating thing was the noise that's coming from their escalator. The repeated announcement can be quite annoying.

had my supper on arrival at a cafe near to check out point
Everyone gets a stretch of these cushion chair, nice! These stretch of benches are locate at the checkout point after custom, they are available either at the left or right side after checkout point. Or one can also go a floor above from the escalator at the left side after checkout point. As it seems quieter and lesser people passing by.
early the next morning, I was on the floor getting my tab charged
On departure day only I realize I should have gone up 1st floor to their departure hall as there not only seems quieter but also there's my favourite convenient store 7-eleven! But oh well, is still a very good experience :) Maybe next time I'll try again.

    1. Hi Hakim,
Don't worry, you will do fine at the Haneda airport, they have plenty of places for you to rest the night! Just look out for those long benches after you exit the immigration, there are also available in a floor up, and it's near to 7-eleven!
      Good luck!

    1. I did not recall seeing a lawson in the airport but there's definitely a 7eleven at the level 1 departure hall, and both lawson and 7eleven open 24 hours. Sushi is good for snack as they are cheap and filing. Prize isn't more expensive in airport, they are the same with those in town, their branches carry the same prizes all over Japan (at least to those city i've visited so far) and both are equally popular. Do have fun at haneda airport !

    1. Wow how exciting ! Yes you definitely should check out the 7eleven at the level 1 departure hall, they open 24 hours, they have a nice range of sushi or simple bento available with reasonable prize. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy cup noodle from japan unless for sure of the flavour/brand, otherwise i do think you should stick to their sushi packs or bento. They are so practical and great for money saving. I hope you guys have fun there!

  5. Hi Angie, am so glad to hear that we can sleep at Haneda airport. My family and 2 friends (total 7 of us) will be travelling in early March. Arriving 11.00pm and by the time customs done, bet it will be way after midnight. Heard that taxis are very expensive and as this would be our first DIY Japan trip, we are rather nervous of whether we can rough it out a the airport. It's still cold in March so we wonder if the airport is also very cold, with air-cond on. Hope fully they will switch on the heaters if it is cold.

    1. So glad that my writing can help some of you !
Wow 7 of you, that's quite a big group, you maybe have to split if those cushion chairs are occupied, dont forget to try upstairs ok, is quieter up there. I was there in March too, in time for saukra viewing, dont recall is that cold but i wrap myself with fleece and wind breaker and did just fine :) so dont worry, I'm sure you will do fine too

  6. Angie, are these "sleeping " areas accessible after picking up our luggage at the carousel?

    1. Hi Twenty4f, yes you can access these benches after you exit from immigration and after you collect your luggage. I reckon some area are busier than others, you just need to take a stroll around and take your best pick.

I hope this is helpful and have a pleasant trip to Japan !

  7. Hi I was just wondering somethin that nobody mentions.
Does staying on a sofa at the airport is ...free?

I arrive at the aurport at 00h30 ... and i just want to tale the train at 7h. So i don t want to spend a whole night in a hotel.
I planned on resting on a sofa. Can with no obligation to pay (I mean I might spend money on the konbini store. I m a human after all)

I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to everything.

Do you have any suggestions for novice blog writers?
    I'd genuinely appreciate it.
